Media Player Classic Equalizer Plug In

This post is a summary of how I got iZotope Ozone to work with Media Player Classic. Ozone is probably the least expensive parametric equalizer you'll find at only $29. The bass enhancement actually works and sounds realistic without muddying things up. The reverb is good, though I've only liked it with ambient and some classical music. I've searched for years for a plugin at a reasonable price to do what it does, and managed to get it to work with Media Player Classic. By default it will work with Winamp 2, 3, and 5, and Windows Media Player 9 and 10. But not Media Player Classic.
Which I like to use because it lets you tweak codecs to use, and most importantly for me, remembers the window size and stretches the video to fill the window, to allow aspect ratio correction. This post is to help others accomplish this, as there is no other post or web page searchable by google that contains a step by step how-to for this. And was borne out of my frustration of searching for this feature for years, and now that I've found a solution I can share what I found (and have it documented cause I won't remember all this should I need to rebuild my system.). You'll need: (MPC). (You'll need the decompressor to unpack it).
I use, as the latest is kind of bloated and unstable on my system. It only needs to be installed to help with the installation of the plugins.
You don't have to actually have any file associations set to it, if you use another audio player like foobar2000 or whatever.. Ozone says it requires it for some reason., full version (I didn't try MPC with the demo, which is very limited unfortunately) v0.9902 or v0.9901 (I had trouble with 0.9902, but you can still find the older version with google if need be). There are other DSP stackers as well that may work. In case the link dies, filename to search for is dsp2dshow-20020930.exe. The project seems to be dead as I couldn't find it directly, only by a post that had a link to Sourceforge which is still mirroring it. I'm running it all on Windows XP Pro SP2.
2000 probably works. Don't know about 98. While in theory, you don't need MuchFX2, MPC was unable to directly run Ozone for me (it would try but MPC and Ozone would freeze). MuchFX2 acts as the glue between Ozone and Dsp2dshow and Media Player Classic. Dsp2dshow allows MPC to see Ozone and MuchFX2.

If you're really slick with manually registering components and hacking installers, you probably don't need Winamp, but cause I'm dumb, and still like Winamp, it's easier to just let the plugins install automatically. Run the installers for everything, doing the players first of course (if you didn't already have them installed).
I had Ozone install to just Winamp and Windows media player. I'd recommend testing Ozone in Winamp or Windows Media Player first, because that's when it'll ask you to enter your license info, and you can confirm that it's working. Start up MPC with no video playing. Go to View ->Options ->Filters ->Overrides, click Add Filter.
Scroll over and click on Winamp DSP to Directshow. Click Ok, then Ok again. Close MPC, and now click on a video file you have associated with MPC. Once it's playing click on Play ->Filters ->Winamp DSP to Directshow.
