Hi, 'I am not certain what function this controller has as I can access the internet' You problably have several network controlers - that's very common for years - on your PC. The one that currently doesn't work is an Ethernet one that is used to connect your PC to a network using a cable. Next to it you probably have a Wireless network controller. If the latter works you have access to your local network and/or Internet even if your Ethernet controller doesn't work. Of course if your Wireless controller was having that problem but not your Ethernet controller you would still have access to your local network and/or Internet but using a cable that time. Windows Device Manager error codes • See.

Hi: I see a couple of BCM drivers on your PC's support page. Please post the hardware ID for the wireless card, so I can take a look inside the driver folder and see if either of the drivers' setup information file contains driver support for the specific hardware ID of that wireless card. To find the hardware ID, go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller (that is the device name when no driver is installed), or the Broadcom wireless network adapter if the driver is installed. Then click on the Details tab at the top of the Network Controller window.

Now you should see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description. Jriver Media Center Plugins. Drop down on that list and select the 3rd item (Hardware ID's). Post the top string of characters that you see in the window. You know you are in the right place if the ID starts with PCI VEN. Hi,: This is the W10 driver you need for that hardware ID. Here is a partial copy and paste of the file contents of the setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted.

You're very welcome. Sorry that nothing seems to be working for you. The hardware ID you posted is from the Network Controller device and that is the wireless card. It will stay under that Other Devices category as a Network Controller until the driver is installed. Unfortunately, I don't know why the driver isn't working since the setup information file includes the hardware ID you posted.

The only other suggestion I can offer would be to try and force the driver to install as follows. Click on the network controller device again, driver tab, update driver, select the browse my computer.but this time at the bottom of the Browse my computer for driver software window, click on the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Click on Have Disk, and browse to C: SWSetup sp72009 HP_DriverOnly bcmwdi and select the Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802. Game Pes 100mb more. 11abgn 2x2 Wi-Fi Adapter, and see if the driver installs that way.
